When caught in a storm at sea....

Re-reading my blog yesterday, I felt a need to follow it up with another. In the literal sense, yes, the sea is many things to many. Vast and definitely unstable, no wonder it is greatly feared by many, if not all. Caught in the middle of a tempest, huge ocean liners are no match to the sea's formidable force. Just like paper sailboats. In other words...just toys. Remember the Titanic?
Well, we do not know what the future has in store for us. Life is a mystery of sort. For some unknown reasons we may just find ourselves at sea, literally and figuratively. And the boat we are in....being tossed to and fro by the wind. When that happens....

WHICHEVER WAY THE WIND BLOWS

Whichever way the wind blows
hold on to the mast;
Lift your spirit high and soaring,
let it not be crushed.

Do not let your heart be daunted
by the waves (like charging bulls);
Soon you'll see them all scamper
like a bunch of frothing fools.

Do not let your soul be dampened
by the spray of swirling mist;
Cut your way out through its thickness,
think of life that's full of zest.

Don't give up, just keep on rowing
though the storm may rage for days;
Winds of hope will soon come blowing,
paving for the sun's warm rays.

Whichever way the wind blows
don't give in to despair;
Learn to face all kinds of weather,
learn to take in life's fair share.
