No doubt we all have great expectations for our lives, and when our lives don't live up to those expectations, it can be tough. Really tough. "This is not the life I ordered!" exclaims one, saddled with life's burdens.

Well, we may be experiencing tough times, but it is not enough reason to give up hope. As it is not yet the end of the world, why let fear seep in? Why should we allow ourselves to be paralyzed? Yes, even when life keeps dragging us down, we must not give in to despair. We must strive to keep our head above the water. Take a breather. Look for something to cling on to.

Sifting through the sands of time,
I found a stormy day in life -
gusts of wind fiercely blowing
kept me cold and shivering inside.

Seeking comfort, finding none,
I left the home cherished for years -
oblivious of my surroundings
a nameless face streaming with tears.

Up, I soared where the sun shone bright
where clouds happily rolled by -
banishing all dreary thoughts
softly singing a lullaby.

Day after day, life passed unnoticed -
time soothingly moved on;
Like the waves lapping the shore
merely greeting, then trudge along.

"Lord., thank You for all its worth -
treasured memories I left behind:
Some were truly hurting, yet enriching -
fragments of Your grand design!"
