Looking back.

Last month, I came upon these: Do you ever have those days where you look back at your life and your accomplishments? Do you feel proud and satisfied? Or do you sort of just look away and wish you hadn't done that?

As a response I want to share with you a poem, actually, a prayer I penned a few years back. Here is.....

FOR ALL ETERNITY: A PRAYER

Thank You so much, heavenly Father
for all the blessings You give;
for providing me a happy home
and showing me every good reason to live.

Mine, O Lord, was a wonderful childhood -
days filled with beautiful memories,
loved ones who understood my shortcomings
and shared my little victories.

Through the years You lighted my path -
You helped me triumph over trials;
Not for a moment did You leave me alone
but kept me company during my darkest hour!

When I stumbled and fell, I remember
You offered me Your hand;
I'm truly grateful to You, dear Father
for giving me another chance!

Had You not taken me by the arm
I would have gone deep into the mire;
Were it not for Your kindness
I would have drowned, I would have died!

Your love kept me safe and sound.
Your touch made me whole again;
Though for a time I felt cold and weak -
soon after I soared with renewed strength!

I beseech You now, O Father.
Please continue to guide my way.
Grant me and my loved ones a blissful life
for all eternity!
